Nomod Secures $3.4 Million Seed Funding to Expand Payment Platform
Nomod, a platform that allows merchants to accept card payments on their phones without extra hardware, has raised $3.4 million in seed funding
The round was led by Global Founders Capital, Kingsway Capital, and Goodwater Capital, with participation from angel investors including a Careem founder, a Dropbox employee, and a DST Global partner
Nomod, which launched in March 2021, has gained traction in the US, UK, and UAE, acquiring over 4700 merchants and seeing an 11x increase in processed volume since launch
The company was founded by Omar Kassim, a serial entrepreneur whose previous startup, JadoPado, was acquired by Noon, Amazon's largest competitor in the MENA region.
